Your New Role We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Painter/Decorator in HMP Haverigg, Haverigg, Millom, Cumbria, LA18 4NA, this role is based on-site. You will need your own transport due to the remote location of this site, which is over an hour from Lancaster. There will be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends, but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary). Painter/Decorator plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner. The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week (across 7 days when a weekend shift pattern is in place). You will be responsible for: Planned and reactive paint work in all areas of the prison. Responsibility for the care and maintenance of tools, materials and additional company property. Compliance with relevant company Health & Safety Policy, instructions and directive. - Must have own tools (brushes & whites) and transport
- Experience of facilities or housing maintenance
- Full driving licence & own transport required (van or car)
Working hours are 8am -5pm Monday to Friday. 30 minutes lunch. Earlier finish on Fridays.
