Provide expert guidance on structural integrity and safety considerations. Work independently within a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively. Proven track record as a Structural Engineer specialising in highways or civil infrastructure. Strong practical experience in assessing and designing highway structures such as bridges, culverts, or walls. Familiarity with local authority or regional standards and regulations related to highway engineering. Competent in using relevant design and analysis software. Ability to work autonomously, demonstrating reliability and attention to detail. Demonstrable experience in public-sector or consultancy environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of the North East highway network or similar regional infrastructure. Previous experience in inspection regimes and maintenance planning for highway structures.
