Responsibilities: Brief, manage and drive the external consultants in the preparation and issue of information to an agreed programme, fee and scope. Prepare programmes and reporting. Ensure that working drawings are in accordance with the approved and ensure discharge of planning conditions. To monitor and control all production information in close liaison with the Engineers and Estimator to ensure tight cost controls are kept and information produced in line with budget estimates. Monitor and control the Professional Fees budget and update fee reports on monthly basis. Attend site progress meetings and carry out site inspection. Attend meetings at various stages of the projects General liaison and coordination between other parties, both internal and external. Attend Subcontractor interviews. Respond to queries and resolve Technical/Construction problems. Issuing drawings and information for construction purposes. Ensuring current drawings are filed/listed correctly. Adoption of roads and sewers. Personal Characteristics: Good technical knowledge of residential development including infrastructurerequirements. Job Title: Senior Site Agent - Immediate Start Type: Contract Location: Oxfordshire Salary: £Negotiable Rate The Company My Client is a principal contracting company who undertake projects in Civil Engineering, Highways and Structures. The company is currently growing year on year and has recently won significant projects relating to distribution centres and supporting road infrastructure. They have a friendly and personable team, have been trading many years and have low staff attrition. Due to new projects my Client are now looking for a new Senior Site Agent to work across various sites in & around Oxfordshire. The Role Management of key project deliverables including client expectations supporting contract commitments whilst ensuring the compliance with all Quality procedures and safe working practices, undertaking all works to the highest possible Health, Safety and Environmental standards, whilst safeguarding the wellbeing of all employees. Ensure that all staff and operatives are familiar with the safety procedures and that they are adhered to Ensure safe systems of work and adherence to Company Health and Safety Policy Ensure timely methodology selection and preparation and completion of Method Statements, Risk and COSHH Assessments, and permits to work. Reporting monthly to Contracts/Project Manager on the project cost value and progress against programme Delivery, enforcement and monitoring against the Company's Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental, and Wellbeing plans Liaise with senior foreman on daily basis issues related with programme, resources, production, productivity necessary to meet with programme requirements Lead all actions to solve technical difficulties, improve performance in terms of progress and quality Assist developing the commercial project information (e.g. cost/value forecast, pricing of variations) Proactively promote continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. customer and supplier feedback, back to basics, knowledge management) Undertake the roles assigned within the Construction Phase H&S Plan Support, encourage and develop all staff / operatives within your control identifying all appropriate training needs Communication at all levels regarding progress of projects To carry out safety inspections and manage the Induction process Provide support during tender processes by involvement in the preparation of programmes, methodology, and development of quality/safety/environmental plans; The Candidate SMSTS / IOSH (Safety Related Qualification) Relevant CSCS card Appropriate ONC/HNC/HND/Degree qualification in Construction / Civil Engineering NRSWA (Supervisor) Knowledge and understanding of NEC conditions of Contract, and in implementing contract processes Appointed person and temporary works co-ordinator Good knowledge of specifications and testing regime relevant to general civil engineering Hands on approach to the commercial and planning aspects of the project Able to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion Has held a similar position with a Civil Engineering Contractor for a sustained period Experience in highways sector work, temporary works.
