We have a great opportunity for an experienced engineer from within the industry to come and join City Air Conditioning Ltd to take on the position as their own.
Work will be a mixture of working from the office in Rochester, Kent, ME24HU.
You will need a strong engineering and product understanding.
Experience in managing air conditioning project enquiries from initial contact through to closing of the deal will be required.
The real performance indicators will be returning a healthy project profit, growing our client database and growing project department revenue.
The focus of this role is to meet the clients demands by turning their enquiries into the necessary quotes quickly and accurately resulting in increased sales.
We have a superb support team in place to make this position a success and with a profit-related performance bonus this position has been designed to give you a long-term project that you can be proud of for years to come.

Your new role
This is a hands-on role with a responsibility for the production of mechanical tenders for both pre-designed and design & construct projects.
The role is to breakdown client enquiries, organise or complete the required surveys and prepare detailed Mechanical estimates, tenders and quotations to ensure that opportunities are being accurately estimated competitively, successfully and profitably.
You will support the Business in client meetings and estimation/tender presentations to help secure tendered opportunities.
Using relevant industry experience, you will be expected to help develop and refine the estimation process to improve efficiency, clarity, and accuracy while reducing overall costs.
What you'll need to succeed
Solid understanding of Mechanical estimating and previous experience in the construction industry, ideally as an estimator in a similar role (values ranging from £1-2million)
Established background in Estimating on a range of mechanical services projects
Mechanical design experience would be preferable (design & build projects)
Experience using estimation or cypher software
The ability to plan workload for themselves with others to ensure delivery to client deadlines

This is a good time to join an established Nottingham based Mechanical Contractor as they are now looking to modernise the company by firstly undergoing a brand-new office fit out as well as introducing new modernised systems and processes.
Currently they turnover in excess of £15 Million, which they are looking to double within the next 5 years. They are looking to expand the business by recruiting a Mechanical Estimator.
The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for the production of detailed tenders, variations, attending tender meetings and handing over successful bids.
Work includes a wide range of Mechanical services projects within the Commercial sectors. Projects are typically: Hotel, Leisure, Educational & Health care between £0.5 - 2.0M in value.
As Mechanical Estimator you will be responsible for:
• Preparation of detailed tenders and pricing.
• Liaising with internal design and contract management teams.
• Client and supplier meetings.
• Analysis of tender opportunities.
• Production of variations and quotations.
Mechanical Estimator Criteria:
• This Position is for someone who has experience being a Mechanical Estimator.
• HNC / HND or similar Building Services qualification.
• Extensive understanding of HVAC services.
• Computer literate with experience of using Estimating software packages.
The successful Mechanical Project Manager will be rewarded with:
• Competitive salary of £40,000 - £45,000.
• Company car allowance equivalent to £4,800.
