As a Senior / Quantity Surveyor you will be part of the UK's leading joinery company. In the fast track industry of fit-out, they pride themselves in offering a quality service.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful Quantity Surveyor will have responsibility for all commercial aspects on a number of projects particularly income and expenditure to maximise profit margins and monitor budgets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Preparation of project budgets, checking projects contracts, administering projects Contracts.
2. Measurement of project to check quantities against tender allowances.
3. Preparation of tender documents for any sub contract works and specialist suppliers.
4. Ensure an awareness of key responsibilities under the contract; ensure regular agreement of site instructions with the client. Ensure payments are received on time in accordance with the contractual payment terms; ensure retention monies are released when due.
5. Prepare and discuss the final account for projects. Negotiate and agree final accounts.
6. Prepare monthly Cost Value Reports.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor at intermediate or Senior level.
2. Able to deal well with people at all levels including clients as well as suppliers.
3. Knowledge or experience of Fit-outs, refurbishments and have dealt with joinery
4. Experience working within the Fast Track Fit Out Industry

My Client a successful, Local & privately owned main contractor is
seeking a Contracts Manager to help deliver a number of schemes.
My client operates in London and the South East, they are very much a
hands on company where Directors and Management teams are involved
in every stage of the projects. Over the last 15 years they have grown into
a reputable contractor who regularly win repeat business due to the
quality of work, strong working relationships and their ability to deliver
what is promised.
Their project Values range from £500k to £3 million+, across residential,
commercial, education sectors which include refurbishment, fit out, and
new build projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience as working in a contracts
management role for a regional or local building contractor with
experience in a wide range of projects. Ideally this candidate will have
worked their way up from a trade background and through the ranks
