Scope of the role:
Delivery of mainly large and complex Treatment projects within both Industrial and municipal water and wastewater industry throughout the UK. There is a need for high levels of collaborative working with other departments within the organisation; namely Engineering, Sales, Purchasing and Finance.
Job details:
The Site Manager is responsible for the delivery of the Site Activities for a number of CDM projects within the Thames Water area. The Site Manager, in conjunction with the Project Manager must ensure that this is done to specification, on schedule and meets all health and safety requirements. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Ensuring Company change control procedures are followed.
Ensuring that the Company, Client and Statutory Health and Safety Policy/ Legislation are complied with.
Ensuring that Suppliers/Subcontractors fully comply with Statutory Health and Safety Legislation and that their site operatives have received adequate safety training.
Producing and managing a Site Health and Safety Plan where site installation work is required.

Working for a highly successful water technology company we are looking for an experienced and skilled Site Manager to work on the Thames Water site in Basingstoke.
Scope of the role:
Delivery of mainly large and complex Treatment projects within both Industrial and municipal water and wastewater industry throughout the UK. There is a need for high levels of collaborative working with other departments within the organisation; namely Engineering, Sales, Purchasing and Finance.
Job details:
The Site Manager is responsible for the delivery of the Site Activities for a number of CDM projects within the Thames Water area. The Site Manager, in conjunction with the Project Manager must ensure that this is done to specification, on schedule and meets all health and safety requirements. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Ensuring Company change control procedures are followed.
Ensuring that the Company, Client and Statutory Health and Safety Policy/ Legislation are complied with.
Ensuring that Suppliers/Subcontractors fully comply with Statutory Health and Safety Legislation and that their site operatives have received adequate safety training.
Producing and managing a Site Health and Safety Plan where site installation work is required.
Ensuring that Method Statements, Risk Assessments and C.O.S.S.H. Assessments are in place before any work is allowed to start on site.
Defining the roles and responsibilities (and ensuring they are understood) of any members of the Site Team.
Ensuring, in conjunction with the Project Manager, that adequate resources are engaged to deliver the Project in accordance with the programme.

They now have a prestigious new build private build to rent accommodation scheme currently on site in London; a £30m new build, steel frame, 165 unit scheme, consisting private apartments above a mix of retail and commercial units.
The scheme is being overseeing by a strong team of long-standing operational and commercial staff including a Senior Project Manager, Senior Site Manager, Site Managers and Engineer. They now require an experienced Internals Finishing Site Manager to work within this team in London to assist the successful delivery of this prestigious scheme.
As an Internals Finishing Site Manager you will support and ultimately report into the Senior Site and Project Managers. You will be responsible for overseeing internals aspects of this project, ensuring quality & H&S standards are adhered to in conjunction with programme, to ensure successful completion of each floor, consecutively.
As such you will be experienced in working on prestigious, city centre schemes of minimum up to £20m, with an internals focus and maintaining excellent quality and H&S standards. You will have a minimum of 5 years experience operating at such level and on such schemes.
Ideally you should be a joiner by trade with a successful background of internals management.
The following tasks are not in priority order;
Manage build ensuring company standards and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Monitor construction working programme with project / contracts manager on a weekly basis.
Study drawings and be aware of forecast costs, budgets in order to minimise waste and maximise value.
Manage sub-contractors, labour, plant and materials - issuing requisitions for plant, labour and materials as required to meet programme.
Monitor plant equipment costs and preliminaries including set up, cost of plant and office on a weekly basis.
Ensure effective communication with sub-contractors and hold minuted, weekly progress meetings.

Liaise with quantity surveyor and sub-contractors to discuss possible damages and time loss immediately as they arise.
Produce correspondence in conjunction with quantity surveyor and project / contracts manager including maintaining filing system.
Monitor and review quality assurance recording on FieldView ensuring full record's available.
Review and manage Health & Safety ensuring company Health & Safety procedures are adhered to, to ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Record and log accident report forms in line with company policy.
Discuss site issues and progress with project / contract manager.
Minimise costs by monitoring and reviewing site wastage, materials, time, labour and plant.
Maintain morale on site by communicating regularly with all site colleagues, discussing and reviewing issues and sharing good practice.
Ensure good public / customer care relations with neighbours and the public at all times.
Ensure subcontractors project requirements are met and deal with any issues that arise to mitigate delays to programme and additional costs.
Check material measurement and take offs from drawings including checking drawing practicality.
Carry out Health & Safety, machinery, plant, scaffolding, excavation and quality inspections as required, ensuring weekly registers are updated.
Supervision and direction of sub-contractors to meet programme requirements.
Attend sub-contractor pre-start meetings with contracts manager and quantity surveyor.
Deliver induction to site operatives.
Monitor subcontract and site operative requirements and liaise accordingly when they are no longer required.
Delegate and check material to site as ordered.
Communicate 4 week rolling programme regularly with site operatives and project / contracts manager.
Discuss and review site operatives and subcontractors tasks.
Preparing site for tests in accordance with building regulations.
Check and sign for materials delivered to site, ensuring records are kept for all deliveries.
Set up and maintain adequate welfare site boundary including traffic management.
Produce and provide method statements and risk assessments.
Provide risk assessments and maintain correct procedures.
Maintain good working relations with operations/ client.
Discuss issues promptly and provide solutions.
Check and record weekly safety inspections sheets, material requisitions, personal protective equipment registers, permit to dig, HOT works permit and others when required.

The role of the logistics manager is to take responsibility for all aspects of the logistics supply chain, stores management, development and optismisation of site logistics solutions to meet the needs of the project. The logistics manager will be required to mange the movement of people, goods and equipment at the construction site and control site facilities management.
The logistics manager should ensure that the construction team is fully aware of logistics actives in support of the build program. Embrace a delivery- focused culture and organised resources to enable contract deadlines to be achieved.
Logistics Manager Responsibilities:
* Planning/programming
Plan site set-up to move labour, plant, and materials around site efficiently (e.g. hoarding, gates, site accommodation, cranes, hoists, security, temporary services and material delivery.
Plan internal and external logistics routes through the project phases focusing on separation of vehicles, machinery and people. Lay down areas and offloading points.
Pre-plan the usage of key assets such as hoists to ensure planned assets meet the needs of the programme.
Together with the site Project manager and health and safety adviser, write a Construction Logistics Plan and/or Construction Traffic Management Plan in accordance with Local Authority requirements and submit it to the Local Authority for approval. Once approved ensure that the site work within the agreed plan.
* Mobilisation
Create and maintain a secure site.
Control all traffic management internally and externally, wheel washing and road network cleanliness.
Manage installation of site accommodation including planning, selection, refurbishment and management and cleaning of these facilities.
Create operational procedures and method statements within his area of responsibility.
Create a schedule of logistics meetings and ensure logistics is represented at site meetings.
* Supply chain management
Write formally to all suppliers describing the characteristics of the site, including site access /egress, storage capacity and arrangement by programme, labour, hoists, cranes etc. Include the requirement for all deliveries to be made in compliance with the Traffic Management Plan.
Write formally to all suppliers requiring their delivery vehicles to safeguard vulnerable road users by being registered into the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) at bronze level, or obtain a commitment to this objective within 6 months.
Control materials in and out of site by scheduling deliveries to specific time slots.
Plan and integrate with key contractors to meet the needs of the planned programme and de-confliction of on-site space and time where appropriate.
* Fire & Safety
Maintain fire points and all common lifesaving equipment and ensure weekly inspections are carried out.
Responsible for ensuring that material movement to and from the workface does not cause damage to the works, the workforce or the public.
Manage and maintain visitor PPE stocks to an agreed number.
* Site communications
Create a system to communicate information around the site e.g. noticeboards, email distribution lists, monitor displays, web pages.
Ensure local hospital data is regularly updated, communicated and routes are checked.
Manage the accident and ‘near miss’ returns and project suggestion box. Collate and issue to management team.
* Signage
Define and organise all site signage to the agreed corporate standard.

Working for a Water Technology Provider we are looking for a team of 3 Installation Operatives to work across the Basingstoke area supporting the installation and refurbishment of Sanitaire Aeriation equipment. This role is working Monday – Friday and working a 39 hour week however a flexible working attitude is necessary to meet the client and business needs. Some additional on-call duties will be required on a rota basis.
You must be a driver with your own car to travel to the various sites.
Duties will include:-
Isolate and dismantle aeration equipment.
Lifting of associated components from ground level to an approximate height of 6m using the appropriate equipment.
Lowering of new aeration equipment into tanks from a height of approximately 6m using the appropriate tools.
Assembly and installation of new aeration equipment and all associated apparatus.
Leak and Pattern testing of completed installation.
Install and commission supplied equipment and all associated apparatus.
Work as part of a team where health and safety demands.
Carry out both planned and reactive service visits as scheduled in a timely manner.
Working in an outdoor environment in different weather conditions on a daily basis.
You must be aware this work is carried out in Sewage Treatment Tank areas so you must be comfortable in this work environment

This role is working Monday – Friday and working a 39 hour week however a flexible working attitude is necessary to meet the client and business needs. Some additional on-call duties will be required on a rota basis.
You must be a driver with your own car to travel to the various sites.
Duties will include:-
Isolate and dismantle aeration equipment.
Lifting of associated components from ground level to an approximate height of 6m using the appropriate equipment.
Lowering of new aeration equipment into tanks from a height of approximately 6m using the appropriate tools.
Assembly and installation of new aeration equipment and all associated apparatus.
Leak and Pattern testing of completed installation.
Install and commission supplied equipment and all associated apparatus.
Work as part of a team where health and safety demands.
Carry out both planned and reactive service visits as scheduled in a timely manner.
Working in an outdoor environment in different weather conditions on a daily basis.
You must be aware this work is carried out in Sewage Treatment Tank areas so you must be comfortable in this work environment
Essential requirements:
Must have CSCS General Operative Card
Ideally have a TWUL Safety Passport, however training can be provided
You must be physically fit and able to lift heavy weights and able to work in confined spaces which are accessed via ladders or harnesses and a fall arrestor

*Ensure that gullies, drains etc. are kept free from debris and that grounds are litter free if required
*Report emergencies in the case of faults with gas, electric and water supply to line and senior facilities management, or where not immediately available technical services or regular contractors, and report minor faults on site to the Facilities Coordinator for the site (where appropriate)
*Proactively inspect fabric and assets resolving/escalating issues where required
*Test/inspect equipment where required (security systems, portable appliances etc)
*Dispose of waste materials in a safe, hygienic manner ensuring that it is available for collection as required

They now require an experienced Internals Finishing Site Manager to work within this team in London to assist the successful delivery of this prestigious scheme.
As an Internals Finishing Site Manager you will support and ultimately report into the Project Managers. You will be responsible for overseeing internals aspects of this project, ensuring quality & H&S standards are adhered to in conjunction with programme, to ensure successful completion of each floor, consecutively.

We are seeking a civils biased Project Manager / Contracts Manager to work for a regional civil engineering and infrastructure contractor responsible to the Construction Manager.
The organisation undertakes general groundworks for new build housing companies and larger commercial buildings such as schools, hospitals and care homes undertaking drainage, footings, foundations, new build roads and 278 works.
Our client has been trading for over 14 years, employs over 200 direct members of staff and undertakes projects in the region of £5million in value.
the key responsibilities for the role are to ensure the overall successful running of the department including:- production, commercial issues and health and safety. You will be responsible for all civils operations on a number of sites up to 5 with values ranging between £200K and £4m to and will have ownership of a project from start to finish.

The Role
We are seeking a civils biased Project Manager / Contracts Manager to work for a regional civil engineering and infrastructure contractor responsible to the Construction Manager.
The organisation undertakes general groundworks for new build housing companies and larger commercial buildings such as schools, hospitals and care homes undertaking drainage, footings, foundations, new build roads and 278 works.
Our client has been trading for over 14 years, employs over 200 direct members of staff and undertakes projects in the region of £5million in value.
the key responsibilities for the role are to ensure the overall successful running of the department including:- production, commercial issues and health and safety. You will be responsible for all civils operations on a number of sites up to 5 with values ranging between £200K and £4m to and will have ownership of a project from start to finish.
This will include, but is not limited to, the following duties:
Ownership of project from start to finish
Ensure civils site files are in place before we start and are correctly
secured / completed
Motivate the workforce –
Provide information necessary to carry out the task
Provide correct equipment and materials to carry out task
Set goals / timelines for tasks to be completed
Challenge any deviation from task / goal
Provide clean & comfortable welfare conditions
Provide a tidy site – set the standard
Complete and track the master programme
Direct management of site manager/supervisors to ensure they are
focused on achieving MCS site goals i.e. programme, quality, health and
safety etc
Ensure all health and safety objectives and policies are read,
understood and followed
Liaise with subcontractors to ensure that programme goals are
achievable and are achieved. Plan phased visits with relevant contactor.
Request and collate sub contactor RAMS,
Carefully plan and programme all works in conjunction with the client &
ensure the programme is met
Review plant hire on job to ensure all is required
Ensure any additional works are agreed and signed for by the client
Minimise costs of defects, minimise material wastage
Ensure MCS labour and plant is fully utilised across the department
Plan and forecast future requirements i.e. procurement of additional
subcontractors if required, recruit additional staff if required, advise on
purchase of additional plant
Ensure all materials are procured and available in line with site
requirements
