We have a fantastic opportunity for a senior level leader to join our Capital Works team as Associate Director – Capital Works.
You will be working across a wide and varied portfolio of projects successfully managing consultant teams focused on delivery of significant projects through to completion phase.
Opportunities include working on specialist research facilities like the recently completed Space Institute in the Engineering School, high-tech teaching spaces like our Financial Lab and student accommodation upgrades right through to our much larger programme builds which include state of the art scientific and medical research facilities; teaching and learning facilities; or projects to support the student experience such as the new Recreation and Wellness Centre prominent on Symonds Street.

You will be playing a vital role by contributing to the success of the company by leading the MEP discipline of the building services team in conjunction with the Technical Director. Working collaboratively with your team and counterparts, you will need to ensure the team provides design proposals, professional expertise, and support for individual project briefs. You will have 8+ direct line reports. What You'll Need to Succeed You must be able to work creatively both as a lead designer and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team whilst having experience of being involved through RIBA Stages 5 and 6, including site installation and commissioning processes. Having knowledge and experience of M&E building services designing and running multiple projects at one given time. You will need to have experience in leading concept design, feeding back to relevant design teams, have project experience in the education, commercial, industrial, NHS sectors.
