For this permanent opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £75,000 to £95,000 per annum however there may be flexibility on this as the specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered which includes a company vehicle, phone, laptop, private medical insurance, enrolment on to the pension scheme and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays).
About the requirements:
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar and have proven success of working on JCT forms of contract. Additionally, you must hold a minimum of 5 years experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager and ideally this should have been gained whilst working within the demolition, earthworks and / or enabling works sector. Lastly, due to the geographical location of their projects, you must hold a full UK driving license and live within commutable distance from Farnborough.

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Manchester - £65,000 - £72,000 plus car & package
Leading contractor in the residential market with multiple live projects currently on site with further due to commence shortly, you will be joining a contractor who have positioned themselves to offer selected clients a negotiated solution on accommodation projects within the North West area.
The Opportunity
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be taking the lead role on two high rise residential projects valued at a combined circa £50m and reporting into a visiting Commercial Manager. You will be working closely with the site team to help support and achieve a successful delivery process. With the site team already in place, it will be essential that you have the proven experience, confidence and 'can do' attitude to integrate seamlessly within the team to further support, lead and drive the project through to completion.
Skills and Experience
This role is suited to an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor that has led large schemes, ideally residential high-rise although that is not necessarily essential and will not be a barrier to entry. You will be experienced in all main aspects of quantity surveying attending site meetings ensuring clear and concise interactions between the commercial team and the operational site team. You will manage and monitor the supply chain as well as ensuring subcontract packages are managed as are subcontract payments. You will ensure all records are maintained and updated regularly, monitoring costs at all times ensuring maximum value on cost control and cash management as well as financial reporting and final accounts.
Working closely with the commercial team on site, you will build a strong site base providing support and advice at all times to Junior members of the team assisting and mentoring as and when necessary.
Proven ability of working as Lead Surveyor
Main contractor background working on high-rise residential although this is not essential
Clear and concise communication skills
Excellent IT skills and knowledge of relevant software
Problem solving and strong analytical skills
Keen eye for detail
