Our Client was founded over 25 years ago and today provides bespoke Building Engineering Services Design and Compliance Services from their regional offices throughout the UK.
The business specialises in Mechanical & Electrical Design, together with Condition and Compliance Surveys using bespoke software and cloud based data collection applications. This facilitates the prompt delivery of reports with clear analysis of data, including specification and management of remedial actions.
The company provides robust and innovative M&E design solutions, offering a flexible approach to all commissions, whilst ensuring compliance with current and changing legislation. Significant investments have been made in contemporary design software such as TAS dynamic modelling and Revit BIM to support their design approach, with a commitment to reducing the environmental impact of Building Engineering Services without compromising performance.
The Compliance side of the business is looking for a Legionella Risk Surveyor to join the team. This important role will involve travel throughout the UK to a wide variety of sites and properties, combined with other technical specialists including Energy Performance Certifies, TM44 Air Con Assessors, Facilities/Asset Managers and M&E Condition Surveyors. Whilst some overnight stays for remote locations may be necessary this will not be excessive, allowing most surveys and commuting to sites to be completed during traditional office hours.
The role is home based but responsible to the Northern cost centre, with infrequent visits required to attend team briefings and internal training when appropriate in Leeds. The vast majority of sites will include visits in and around the Yorkshire, East & West Midlands and Southern regions, however the team does carry a national responsibility so a flexible approach is required and a willingness to travel.
To be considered for this role you must have up to date knowledge of L8 legislation and have previously carried out detailed surveys and inspections within a consulting or property management environment. A strong background in health and safety would also be advantageous due to the complex nature of the work and sites to be visited.
Finally, due to the mobile nature of the position a valid UK drivers licence will be required, with a pool car or travel expenses available to reach multiple sites
