Senior Estimator

The Role: The Senior Estimator is responsible for accurately estimating the cost of a construction project within the designated timescales. Key Deliverables: Responsible for the production of detailed priced tenders on Conquest software inside allocated time limits. Engagement with key supply chain during the tender process and hold face to face meetings to ascertain robust work package costing including all compliance and conditioning adjustment. To produce fully detailed conditioned like for like package comparisons. Engagement with Operations team and Design Manager to understand operational methodology and sequence parameters which need to be integrated into the pricing across all components of the tender. Managing pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.Examples of Duties: Managing the preparation of more than one tenders at any one time (depending on size & complexity) All round understanding & awareness of the process in being able to ensure robust pricing Able to identify risks in the project design, to develop and engage with the team on strategy on these activities & allocate pricing accordingly Production of VE proposals and costs and develop alternative strategies to feed into bid submission Produce tender adjudication information in format provided for team to finalise the bid Managing the tender from receipt through to submission Prepare and evaluate risk and opportunity Produce analytical tenders for all projectsArrange and prepare commercial documents for tender handover meetings
