We are looking for a Site Manager, who is an outstanding team leader with a positive and professional attitude to join our team to undertake projects locally and nationwide. You will have demonstrable experience in adhering to site health, safety, environmental and wellbeing standards. We are looking for individuals to be based within commuting distance of our new head office in the Andover area, however as we work nationally, there will be an expectation to travel and stay away from home regularly so a level of flexibility is required.
We are looking for someone who has experience in working outdoors in environmentally sensitive areas, those with experience in working on large infrastructure projects UK wide will be looked on favourably. You will receive ongoing training and development in all aspects of the operational tasks and have a great opportunity for continued progression.
The Role
To ensure the delivery of projects for the Habitats team and that they are delivered in a safe and efficient manner in line with budgets and timescales. May manage several sites at one time. Lead, motivate, communicate with staff to ensure team members are motivated to achieve their best performance to meet the needs of the company.
Measurables for the role:
Successful project completion delivered against profit & loss targets, and cash flow targets
Projects delivered in line with works program and against commercial and financial forecast
Project delivered to an acceptable quality measured through Project Manager and client feedback.
Effective communication with project management team, stakeholders and clients.
Maintains Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental compliance for their sites measured through RAMS sign off, HSQE inspections and site spot checks.
Relevant HSQE reporting
Ensures that people under their line management are managed correctly through regular 1:1s and performance reviews.
Management of onsite risks, resource scheduling and scope change reduction and variation control

Day to Day Responsibilities and Management
Senior Package PMs will have specialist knowledge in and be responsible for managing and delivering either the Civils, DH Mechanical, or M&E scope across multiple projects.
For project purposes on a day-to-day basis, will report to the relevant Senior Project Managers.
Work closely with Senior Site Supervisors and the other Senior Package PMs and to ensure smooth interface of works
Manage, monitor and report on package programme, commercial and contractual requirements
Directly manage project Senior Site Supervisors and provide technical, programme, budgeting & general support guidance to meet project requirements
Ensure project packages are appropriately resourced to meet programme and budget requirements
Track and resolve technical issues and outstanding works, seeking assistance where required
Monitor package suppliers and sub-contractors and ensure their compliance with scope, design, programme and budget
Attend client, supply chain and customer meetings, chairing and minute taking where required
Manage package build-strategy including off-site pre-fabrication, on-site laydown/fabrication, build sequence, testing and commissioning and handover
Report progress and concerns to the Senior Project Managers and stakeholders
Ensure Pinnacle Power systems and procedures are understood by the project team and contractors, and are used consistently through the project in line with company best practice
Work with Senior PMs to ensure all key documents such as quotes, technical submittals, design, O&M packs, QA packs, CDM and PEP documents are created, filed and issued on the document control portal (Procore)
Assist in producing technical documentation if required
Ensure soft-landing and project handovers are executed and recorded
Seek, engage with, and share knowledge on sustainable and carbon neutral industrial solutions
Commercial & Contractual
Assist Senior Project Managers & Commercial Team to prepare and review contract tender packs and returns to ensure the scope of works, programme and budget is understood
Lead on procurement of package materials with assistance from Commercial Team and Senior PM
Oversee issue and administration of package Contracts and POs to ensure adherence to package requirements, sign off project package invoices
Monitor, manage & record all package works subject to variation both up and down-stream
Assist commercial team to develop and define contracts that support a level of risk acceptable to the business
Customer Service & Communications
Provide regular package updates & reporting tailored to their audience as required
Develop strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, contractors and clients

Construction/ Works Manager - London
Are you a technically minded and established Construction Manager looking for a new challenge? If so then Murphy Group is keen to hear from you regarding an opportunity to lead, drive and direct our CP6 framework and Euston Station operations. The Construction Manager will provide functional leadership for all construction phase activities within the Project Teams promoting Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental and construction best practice. A particular emphasis on this role is to ensure works are carried out to the requisite quality right first time every time following quality plans and ITP’s with the site team.
The Construction Manager provides functional leadership for all construction phase activities within the Project Teams promoting Health, Safety, and Environmental and construction best practice as well as syncing construction resources across the projects in close liaison with the Project Managers.
What you will be doing:
* Establish and promote best practice in Quality, health, safety and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHQE department.
* Overall management of project teams during the construction and installation phase of the project.
* Co-ordination of constructability input during solutions identification and development phase.
* Co-ordination and allocation of construction staff to projects ensuring that appropriate construction and installation staff are appointed to specific projects: based on experience, skills and knowledge.
* Liaises with the Project Managers to ensure that the construction resource pool is an appropriate size, with an appropriate blend of skill-sets for the projected workload.
* Overall management of construction resources including Labour, Plant and Materials.
* Overall performance management of subcontractors.
* Ensures that the construction and installation teams are accountable for their performance against specific schedules and man-hour budgets.
* Ensures that all construction and installation activities are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Legislation.
* Ensures that the duties of the Principal Contractor are discharged in accordance with the CDM Regulations.
* Ensures that all temporary and permanent construction and installation activities are carried out in accordance with quality procedures.
* Interfaces with all other functional leaders within the organisation to facilitate successful development of the project from solution stage constructability through construction, installation, commissioning and handover to the client.
* Ensure regular input from the Project Manager is gained on third party, environmental and public relations issues.
* Participate in, and positively promote, the Murphy Culture Development Culture (leading to Zero Harm)
