A well-known global company is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager ideally with Retail or Programmes experience to join their team. This role is largely remote, but you are welcome to use any of the nationwide local offices if you prefer. The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager will receive a salary of £55,000 - £60,000 per annum and maybe more for the right person plus a competitive package that includes health and dental insurance, car allowance, payment towards memberships of professional bodies and generous pension.
The quantity surveying team proactively manage the cost of construction projects, from the initial design stages through to completion and sometimes even the costs incurred through maintenance and operation once the project is up and running. They pride themselves on the quality of their service to their clients and enjoy long term relationships with a large majority.
We are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager with the following skills and experiences:
Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor position and previously employed by a consultancy or end user client.
Retail or Programmes experience.
Ideally MRICS or working towards it.
Strong feasibility and cost planning experience.
The ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner.
Previous experience of providing procurement advice, tender documentation, and post contract services.
Strong technical delivery experience and well-rounded knowledge of systems.
A track record of working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines with the ability to build long-term relationships.
