THE PROJECT
This framework will see you working on a multitude of projects covering the Thames Water patch working on the UK’s largest water and wastewater network. Every day 2,600 million litres of water supply over 9 million customers in the area with a further 4 billion litres of sewage from 15 million customers being treated.
There are two types of projects you could be working on within this framework; The first; larger projects spanning a 3-month period consisting of groundworks and civils with some supervision of the build as well as electrical installations with responsibility for looking after two work streams and supervising up to eight operatives.
The second; very fast paced projects lasting up to 3 days’ maximum focussing on refurbishment and replacement work supervising up to four operatives a time.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
If you like working for a main contractor on fast paced schemes, then this is the role for you. You’re going to be working closely with the client and key stakeholders so you’re going to have to be the kind of person who enjoys managing and influencing people as well as driving workflows.
THE JOB
Day to day you are going to be coordinating and supervising the teams on site looking after the groundworks, civils, some electrical and M+E installation as well as building hardening works.
REQUIREMENTS
For this role, you are going to need an SMSTS and a 3 Day First Aid Ticket as well previous experience working on water projects. If you have a Thames Water Passport and Water Hygiene Card that would also be a big bonus but if not they are happy to provide the training for you.
Your application would be further strengthened if you have Defibrillator and Fire Warden training as well as a PASMA card.
