This role will involve regular site visits so a company van will be provided, and sites will be within an hour travel from the office.
Responsibilities of the Role:
* Maintenance and reactive service to all types of refrigeration and HVAC equipment within the commercial sector
* Fitting and installation of new air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
* Ensure all health and safety requirements are adhered to.
* Diagnose and identify faults and failure with the refrigeration equipment.
* Deliver excellent customer services when on site.
Requirements of the Role:
* Experience within the Refrigeration/HVAC sector
* Ideally holding an F-Gas qualification
* Have a UK Driver License
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Good attention to detail
* Motivated individual
* Good organisational and planning skills

My client is looking for a Product Performance Lead who will oversee and conduct testing and commissioning of equipment, whilst providing a wide range of technical consultancy and support services to the client's members and the building services industry in general.

The Job
* Provide, manage, develop and promote testing within the built environment
* Testing building services components primarily for heating and/or cooling - (refrigeration equipment, heat exchangers, fans, fan coils, valves, pumps etc.), with a principal focus on radiators
* Operating test rigs, including activating data logging software and using test instrumentation
* Provide expert service for bespoke laboratory work and support site-based activities including building services investigations
* Commercial responsibility for projects ensuring work of the team is performed efficiently to a high technical quality standard
* Advise clients on test options and requirements (e.g. Construction Products Regulations)
* Prepare proposals, analyse test data, compile and quality assure test reports for compliance in accordance with international standards
* Design and upgrade test rigs to fulfil requirements of relevant international standards

*Either academic and professional qualifications, chartered engineer status or extensive in-depth experience product testing
* Expert knowledge of building services with emphasis on testing and recording measurements of building services components including test rig design and upgrading

To undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
To take a proactive approach to client liaison and ensure that concerns are dealt with or relayed to management and FM helpdesk as necessary.
To ensure that equipment operates to specified performance criteria.
To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out, including completing required documents and paperwork.
About you:
NVQ in refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
City & Guilds 2079 safe handling of refrigerants.
Previous experience working within facilities management and working with all types of Air Conditioning (spilt systems, VRV systems, Close control systems & Chillers).
CSCS Skills card or equivalent qualification.
