Designer North-West £35,000 - £50,000 1st Step Solutions are proud to be working alongside a leading building envelope provider who are looking to add a Designer to their talented team in the North-West. Key Responsibilities * Produce high end technical drawings and AutoCAD design proposals. * Liaise with architects and main contractors. * Answer technical design queries from client, the company's sales team & installers. * Produce high-quality general arrangement drawings in a cost-efficient way for approval. * Prepare fabrication drawings for bracketry and pressed metal in conjunction with location drawings. * Produce Glass & Fixing schedules as and when requested. * Analyses the technical calculations and the financial and economic indicators in the development of new projects. * Manages the production of the technical documentation accompanying the new projects. * Works on refining existing solutions and details to improve their performance. Requirements * AutoCAD & Revit would be preferable. * Previous experience of building envelope design in either glazing, curtain walling or cladding and roofing * Ability to commute to Manchester. * Team player attitude & the ability to work alone. * Ability to research and develop products.
