Job Description

Design Manager North-West £40,000 - £50,000 1st Step Solutions are proud to be working alongside a leading building envelope provider who are looking to add a Design Manager to their talented team in the North-West. Key Responsibilities * Managing a design team, the design process and the interaction with team members. * Ensuring the production of quality working drawings and schedules. * Liaise with the design team including Architects, Structural Engineers, M&E Engineers, and Specialist Designers. * Review information produced by design team for accuracy and identify where any issues could arise. * Keep commercial and operations teams up to date with progress on design packages. * Manage design reviews and approvals process by obtaining design information from suppliers and sub-contractors. * Developing systems and processes including 3D design and BIM. * Co-ordinating and managing all aspects of the design process. * Awareness of the full facade process from design to handover. Requirements * Professional qualifications * Previous experience of building envelope design in either glazing, curtain walling or cladding and roofing * Workable knowledge of AutoCAD * Attention to detail. * Client facing experience.
