Site Manager – £50,000-£60,000– Colchester, Essex (work can be anywhere around London & South East) The Role Do you have a proven ability to manage larger projects, preferably within the pipeline infrastructure industry? A well-known pipeline contractor with a strong reputation is seeking a Site Manager to take responsibility for the smooth running and delivery of a pipework related Civil Engineering contract. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in high profile contracts for an independent multi-utility pipeline infrastructure provider which supports all sectors of the UK construction industry. The key responsibilities of a Site Manager include, but are not limited to: Working to programmes and adhering to strict Health & Safety Guidelines. Ensuring the smoothing running and delivery of a civil engineering contract, including Managing a NEC cost plus contract. Liaising with management to plan and deliver projects. The Company Trading successfully for over 20 years, the company is an independent medium sized sub-contractor which provides multi-utility pipeline infrastructure for all sectors of the UK construction industry. Possessing a high profile repertoire of clients, we specialise in major infrastructure projects including: pipework installations, larger projects such as Athlete’s Village gas and water, large utility diversions for airport and port extensions, and specialist civil pipework projects such as sewage and water treatment works. In addition, we install gas and water mains to developers on new build projects. The Person The key skills and qualities of a Site Manager: Proven ability to manage larger projects, preferably within the Pipework. Management of cost plus contract, conversant with Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Project. Demonstrable knowledge of various pipework materials strongly preferred, alongside CSCS supervisor card and SMSTS qualification. Thames Water Passport an advantage. People management skills, including the management of subcontractors. Able to plan works & meet deadlines efficiently. Flexible and hardworking.
