Trainee Estimator

Trainee Estimator A key client of mine have a requirement for an ambitious Trainee Estimator to join a growing specialist main contractor working on multiple civil engineering and utility projects. You will be based in the Nottingham Head Office and work closely with an established estimating team who are responsible for the company's tender submissions. Duties will include: ? Reviewing tender documents and specifications ? Reading Construction drawings ? Identifying risks and tender complexity. ? Completing accurate take off measurements from drawings and creating Bills of Quantities. ? Building up rates and completing a BoQ for submission to clients. Using our bespoke cost model to build up labour, plant, and materials from first principles. ? Providing reports, feedback to the New Business Manager.# Requirements for the role: ? Intermediate level skills in Microsoft word and excel. ? Ability to produce high quality written submissions and tender presentations. ? Exceptional customer service skills. ? Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with all groups/levels of people both internally and externally. ? Ability to work flexibly and manage multiple tasks. ? Strong attention to detail. ? Excellent literacy and numeracy skills. ? Ability to manage time effectively and be proactive. ? Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. ? Basic understanding of Construction drawings. ? Work well under pressure.
