My client are a General Construction Contractor, who work across several key sectors including Retail, Commercial, Residential (including student accommodation and high rise), Leisure, Public Sector, Bars and Restaurants, Industrial Education and Retail Centres. As a result of expansion and winning new projects, they are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work with them on a permanent basis.
You will be working on a variety of projects across the above sectors. Project values will be between £500k - £20m. The projects are regional, and this will be an office-based role. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the Commercial Manager & Director who will provide training and support. You will be responsible for:

Budgeting and Forecasting
Pre & post tender
Monthly valuations
Adhere to Management Plan.
Production of monthly CVR.

The salary on offer is up to £55k depending upon experience + package.

Excellent knowledge of traditional and non-traditional construction
Structural Design Experience
Buildings Insurance claims experience
Working towards chartered status with MIStructE or MICE
Full UK driving licence and own car
Ability to work alone

* Preparation of cost and value financial reporting and forecasting
* Assist in risk management process
* Provide site management with commercial support and advice
* The commercial management typically of one project
Requirements
* Experience in working on Design and build projects for a mainstream regional contractor
* Working knowledge of NEC / JCT contracts, together with some experience of other standard forms
* Working knowledge of computerised cost capture / value monitoring systems
* Report writing skills
* Must be a team player but also able to work on own initiative
* HNC/HND/Degree in Construction / Quantity Surveying desirable
