Job Description

An award-winning Architectural practice based in Leicestershire is looking to recruit three additional permanent members of staff, due to a large pipeline of work coming into the business. They are looking for an Architectural Technologist and / or Experienced Retail Designer who is looking for a new permanent challenge. For this particular role, you will initially be joining the team who works for a number of Retail Clients undertaking projects both in the UK and Overseas. This is a specialist wing of the company, an Award Winning Architects Practice that provides a range of architectural services on projects both large and small, in all sectors, across the UK and abroad. Many of the projects are full term Concept to Completion across all RIBA stages, Traditional and Design and Build, in an environment where the team combines a mixture of age and experience with youth and innovation. Ideally you will be qualified with an HNC/HND/BSC in Architectural Technology, with at least three years post qualification experience or an experienced Designer within the retail sector (detailed design and project delivery rather than creative) for more than 5 years, who is looking to progress in your career and in the future, using your current knowledge to expand into other areas of Architectural Design. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate an ability to work on multiple projects at one time working to tight deadlines. You should have a working knowledge of UK building regulations and project delivery and have knowledge of shopfitting or retail design. You should have some experience of vetting and approval processes and be proficient in AutoCAD as first choice programme. Experience of attending meetings in person and via video conference technology and liaising with clients and consultants. You will have some experience of carrying out inspections and be able to demonstrate your ability to undertake highly accurate detailed measured surveys and ideally have some experience of preparing due diligence reports. 20 days Holiday plus statutory, rising to 25 days plus statutory Competitive Salary BUPA Health Care is offered as a benefit Opportunity to work on a variety projects in the UK and outside of the UK Path to progression in an Award Winning in house training and development environment Full time position.
