Based near Northampton, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a top tier contractor on a new-build highways scheme. They are large team in need of more Engineers to facilitate the work they currently have on this project, so if you’re currently stuck for work to do, look no further! What can you bring to this role? A professional qualification in Civil Engineering: HNC, HND, BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng A good couple of years’ experience in site engineering activities such as setting out and interpreting designs A background in the following types of projects: Dual carriageways, SMART Motorways, highway structures, footbridges, underpass, highway bridges, rail bridges, embankments, major earthworks What will you be doing as Site Engineer? A normal day will involve managing the site engineering control activities, providing information for operatives and subcontractors. Carrying out as-built surveys, producing 2D/3D site sketches, and managing surveying equipment will also be part of the norm. You’ll also be able to get involved with basic planning and programming, monitoring the projects progress and at the earlier phases of the scheme. Graduate Engineers will also come to you for guidance, as well as the senior management team. If you’re a Site Engineer looking for guaranteed long-term work, then this could be the role for you!
