Principal Civil Engineer - 55k salary + benefits

Main Purpose of Job
Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
Completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates and specifications.
Determine project schedules by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time
requirements; sequencing project elements.
Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems Develops project objectives by creating project proposals and plans.
Provide technical consultancy support to projects as technical expert providing guidance to other team members.
Oversee the preparation of planning applications and prepare relevant reports and documentation.
Create concept designs, detailed designs, design drawings, tender packages and general project documentation.
Source suppliers / contractors and asses for suitability.
Evaluate tenders and quotations, run tender boards.
Manage site work ensuring design compliance, and compliance with applicable standards and codes of practice.
Control project costs by approving expenditures; administering contracts.

Qualifications
BEng (Hons) Civil Engineering
Project management qualification (AMP PMQ, PRINCE2 etc.)
IOSH
CDM Regulation awareness
Skills Required
Proficient in AutoCAD Civils 3D ability to produce and develop detailed design models
Proficient in AutoCAD, ability to produce and develop detailed design drawings
Working knowledge of NEC contracts
