Job Description

Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer - mechanical bias job in Kettering. Shift: 2pm - 10pm, Monday - Friday.

Your new company
This company is a multi-national business with manufacturing sites across Europe. The UK site is located in Kettering and employs between 30 and 40 people. Although they are part of a large organisation they have maintained a warm and friendly culture where everyone knows everyone and they all help each other. They are currently investing heavily in the business and are establishing a culture of continuous improvement and an exemplary record in Health & Safety.

Your new role
You will join the business as a Maintenance Engineer and be responsible for PPM and pro-active maintenance. You will also be required to attend breakdowns quickly and efficiently, keeping downtime to a minimum. You will work on a range of machinery including extruders, production lines and some conveyors. You will also be required to fault find and rectify any issues that arise. You will be a key part of maintaining a safe environment and a large part of this is a "stop and fix" culture with no temporary fixes.

What you'll need to succeed
You are a qualified Maintenance Engineer, ideally apprentice trained, with a background in manufacturing. You are mechanically biased (60/40 - 80/20) and you have a pro-active, "can do" attitude. You enjoy a challenge and wish to get involved in continuous improvements, installations and equipment investment. You are skilled in PPM, breakdowns, faultfinding and have an good eye for detail. You can demonstrate excellent experience of hydraulics and pneumatics.

You will receive a salary of between £33k and £35k which will be reviewed after a probationary period. There is also a company pension scheme, onsite parking, and external training can be provided.
