Your Role: Reporting into the Commercial Manager, Working on the capital delivery framework for United Utilities . Project Values circa 1 million. This multi-accredited organisation has a strong pipeline of work in the water sector, and they offer excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development, including chartership. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Derby. Your new role As Quantity Surveyor, you will be based in their Derby office and be responsible for, but not limited to, producing and providing accurate forecasts of project costs to completion/final value, monitoring cash flow and valuation plans, managing subcontract tender processes, managing subcontractor accounts as well as providing accurate reports of costs and values on the projects. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful, you will ideally have at least 2 years' experience surveying on heavy civils schemes, preferably in the water sector, and have a good understanding of NEC3 and/or NEC4 forms of contracts. In addition, you will have a degree/HND/HNC in Quantity Surveying (or experience equivalent) and be able to prioritise workloads and work within set deadlines. Finally, you will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
