The successful candidates will be appointed on a fixed term contract for the next 18 months working as part of the alleyway refurbishment programme. You will be required to carry out fundamental refurbishment tasks such as channel laying, drainage replacements and the reconstruction and resurfacing of flags, cobbles and black top. In addition to this you will work as part of a team responsible for the installation of temporary communal bins and the fitting of underground bins across the city of Liverpool.
You will be required to carry of key refurbishments in line with service requirements. You must be a person who can remain focused to ensure optimum service quality is achieved across all designated alleyway and community sites across Liverpool. You must be committed to contributing to team goals and be positive about taking on tasks and have the ability to maintain a positive and proactive approach.
To fulfil the requirements of the role you must hold a full UK Driving licence and have the ability to operate vehicles up to 3.5 or 7.5 tonne. You must also have previous experience operating small plant equipment associated with highway repair work.
A knowledge of health and safety requirements is essential, as well as good communication skills. You must have previous experience carrying out highway maintenance repair work such as pot hole repairs, tarmacing, kerbing, pipe laying or traffic management.
At present the working hours for this role are 35 hours per week. Mobile Plant Operative
Near Lutterworth
£7.96 p/hour plus overtime
7am - 5pm Monday - Friday
We are urgently looking for a new mobile plant operative to start a full time, ongoing temporary contract within a major client of ours based in between Rugby & Lutterworth.
This is a key role for my client and one where you will be expected to perform the following:
* Working outdoors within a landfill site.
* Walking around uneven ground.
* Learning how to deal with waste water.
* Learning how to operate mobile plant machinery.
* Other general site / labouring duties.
If you want a physical role with lots of overtime, the chance to be trained up on mobile plant equipment along with real scope for progression then this is the role for you.
Whilst a certain amount of training will be provided: we can only accept applications from candidates who have the follow skills and experiences:
* Recent experience working within an outside role such as labouring or recycling site work.
* Physically fit and able to perform this type for work.
* Some experience working with mobile plan equipment is preferred but not essential.
* Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
* Strong understanding of health and safety.
* Reliable, hard working and trustworthy.
* Own transport (this site is not on any public transport route and cycling is not recommended)
