Our client is looking for a Health and Safety advisor to join their team in there Biggelswade factory. They are looking for someone to help develop and implement our health, safety and environmental strategies to provide day to day support to the management team. You’ll also be responsible for the training and management of the systems that support training.
Responsibilities
Providing general administrative support, including the co-ordination and delivery of H&S compliance training.
* Corrective Action Tracking, ensuring timely completion
* Create Work Instructions and ensure they are Implemented via suitable Training
* Co-ordinate and administer all Training on site.
* Conduct Risk Assessments to identify potential hazards, control measures and further actions. Devise and implement Safe Systems of Work. Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to develop initiatives to eliminate or reduce hazards.

* Member of the Health and Safety Committees. Deputise for EHS Manager when required.
* Liaise closely with others departments such as engineering, compliance, purchasing and product development.
* Support LOLER, DSEAR, HAVS, and other Environmental, Health and Safety Statutory Compliance
* Promote and foster a positive attitude to health and safety in the workplace
Essential education and qualifications

ROLE PURPOSE
The purpose of the E&I/M
Duties & Responsibilities
Ability to work independently and carry out QMS Audits and follow up reports on projects.
Committed to working to highest possible standards and delivering results within a highly regulated (cGMP, EHS, MV) environment.
Ability to work on own initiative is essential and in conjunction with Project Managers/Engineers to achieve the desired targets and objectives set out.
Provide continuous QMS Training and Support.
Complete monthly QA Inspections and reports.
Assist in development of project QA , IST and CTQ plans when required.
Reporting back QA issues to M&E Quality Manager and Group Quality Manager.
Carry out training and/or presentations on QMS for regional projects to Company Procedures and current legislation.
Essential Qualifications and Experience to successfully deliver role
Electrical Senior Trade or Engineering Qualification (Degree or Diploma)
Medium Voltage (MV) Switchgear Trained (Cert/Qualification)
Previous Handover/Factory Acceptance Testing & Equipment Walkdown Experience
Technical knowledge and experience on Medium Voltage Switchgear (MV), systems and associated equipment.
Technical knowledge and experience of Low Voltage Switchgear (LV) , systems and associated equipment and awareness of Civil Standards –ET101 and Eurocodes.
Good knowledge of I&C installations
Ability to carry out QA Audits and follow up reports on Projects
Computer literate. Excellent Microsoft Office and communication skills. Knowledge of various software platforms.
Previous experience of quality Management Systems e.g. ISO 9001, Q-Mark etc
Chemical/Pharma/Medical Devices experience / knowledge.

Junior/ Graduate Environmental Advisor
One of the UK and Ireland’s leading names in Civil Engineering is currently seeking a driven graduate/ junior environmental advisor to join an experienced team in Ipswich.
With an annual turnover in excess of €310mil and operating throughout Europe and The South Pacific, this contractor has won large frameworks for the coming years.
Due to this they are now looking to recruit a junior environmental Advisor for scheme in East Anglia. Valuing at £100m+ this scheme will see new cable lines and pipes laid on a large stretch of highway. The initial phase will comprise of complex enabling works and logistics.
Duties:
-Develop and maintain the environmental programme to ensure it is compliant with legislation and corporate requirements.
-Manage regular reviews of the EHS functions within the business, providing objectives to improve the overall EHS performance.
-Attend management review meetings to present EHS performance and discuss actions to be taken to improve performance and address any causes for concern/ issues.
-Ensure environmental management programmes are implemented
-Responsible for emergency planning and take leadership in ESH emergency situations
-Represent the company on EHS affairs with external parties
-Responsible for procedures, approval and control of hazardous, regulated and solid wastes
Essential requirements:
-Degree education – Environmental Science
-Experience of preparing sud plans & filling the ecological cleric of works role would be advantageous
-GIS mapping would desirable
