Keeping up to date with site progress, recording progress made, and transferring information onto monthly payment applications
Updating any changes to the agreed contract scope

Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters
Reviewing project drawings, comparing construction drawings to tender drawings documenting any changes

The ideal applicant will be Quantity Surveyor – Roofing & Cladding Systems with:
Must have 3 years’ Quantity Surveying experience within the UK construction industry
Ideally will have experience within the roofing, façade, cladding, or building envelope market sectors
In depth understanding of subcontracts (JCT Design & Build & NEC3)
Must hold a full UK driving license with access to a car
Must have a good understanding of technical drawings

Assess individual rates and prices, amend, create new or insert from material and subcontract quotes.
Assess construction sequence and methods to determine the specific preliminary requirements.
Meetings
Attend pre and post-tender meetings with clients
Handover
Prepare pre-start project package for site management and QS
Collate drawings and specifications ready for use on site
Ensure products ordered and compliant with project specifications
Provide information to in-house architect
Price and agree variations to contract
Essential Sought:
Estimator specialising in Pitched & Flat roofs within Commercial, Industrial nd Domestic
Estimating project ranges from £10K - £3M
Managing tenders to contract stage and handover
Skills Sought:
Previous experience in a similar environment
Knowledge of building, material components, building regulations, estimating (including taking off) and H&S
PC skills; Outlook, Word, Excel
Knowledge of contractual procedures and responsibilities
Good negotiation and communication skills
Highly numerate with strong analytical and reasoning abilities
Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise
Confident and resourceful with ability to work alone or within a team
Driving licence and car owner.
