Kier Places are recruiting now for a Responsive Repairs Supervisor to join our Housing Maintenance team in London on our L&Q Housing Partnership, where you will be supervising the responsive repairs contract and Minor works projects, ensuring compliance with SLAs & KPIs, and managing operatives & their work, ensuring completion to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
As a Responsive Repairs Supervisor, we will look to you to take responsibility for supervising the completion of reactive works within properties; monitor the discipline and timekeeping of contractors' staff and labour in a defined work area, identifying any disciplinary action required, and informing the relevant Lead; and ensure that works are completed to the highest standards and liaising with the clients when needed.
Just as importantly, we will trust you to complete all documentation & audits and ensuring manpower are instructed and comply with all aspects of Health & Safety onsite and with their vehicles; and co-ordinate the preparation of construction reports, contracts and schedules which may involve tender and contract documentation ensuring reviews following quality assurance procedures and compliance.
You will need to collaboratively work with the client, commercial teams and engineers to identify and rectify problems and/or non-conformance, escalating as appropriate and providing expert recommendations promptly to reduce risks and cost.
What do we need from you?
The ideal Responsive Repairs Supervisor will have relevant qualifications and/or experience relating to the Housing Maintenance & Repairs industry with experience in the social housing sector; have CSCS, SMSTS & First Aid at Work certification; solid understanding and knowledge of current health and safety procedures, requirements and legislation operating on a construction site.
The Responsive Repairs Supervisor will also need to be able to manage client & stakeholder relationships and be the public face of company with integrity, flexibility and a shared vision of the Company values, with a strong track record of managing multi-site workforces, managing the development and performance of all aspects of contract operations including KPI's & financial reports; and have proactive and flexible with good planning, organisational and influencing skills, and ensure best practice prevails throughout the project, delivering effective interaction to the client.

Liverpool Streetscene Services Ltd established in 2016 is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Liverpool City Council who sit at the heart of creating exceptional standards of environmental cleanliness and public realm services for residents, communities and local businesses across the city of Liverpool.
As a direct service provider, Liverpool Streetscene Services Ltd are responsible for the refuse and recycling collection service, street cleansing, grounds maintenance, highways maintenance and parks and green space maintenance contracts throughout the city of Liverpool. These services are key to ensuring the city of Liverpool remains clean, green and accessible to all, helping to develop and maintain local civic pride.
We are ambitious, both as an organisation and as a city. Our plans for growth coupled with the high standards that we set for our services requires exceptionally talented individuals who will be enthusiastic about being part of this organisation.
We are seeking to recruit 6 x Highways Multi Skilled Driver Operatives on Fixed Term positions to work as part of a Highways and Alleyway Maintenance & Refurbishment programme within Liverpool Streetscene Services Limited (LSSL).
The successful candidates will be appointed on a fixed term contract for the next 18 months working as part of the alleyway refurbishment programme. You will be required to carry out fundamental refurbishment tasks such as channel laying, drainage replacements and the reconstruction and resurfacing of flags, cobbles and black top. In addition to this you will work as part of a team responsible for the installation of temporary communal bins and the fitting of underground bins across the city of Liverpool.
You will be required to carry of key refurbishments in line with service requirements. You must be a person who can remain focused to ensure optimum service quality is achieved across all designated alleyway and community sites across Liverpool. You must be committed to contributing to team goals and be positive about taking on tasks and have the ability to maintain a positive and proactive approach.
To fulfil the requirements of the role you must hold a full UK Driving licence and have the ability to operate vehicles up to 3.5 or 7.5 tonne. You must also have previous experience operating small plant equipment associated with highway repair work.
A knowledge of health and safety requirements is essential, as well as good communication skills. You must have previous experience carrying out highway maintenance repair work such as pot hole repairs, tarmacing, kerbing, pipe laying or traffic management.
At present the working hours for this role are 35 hours per week. Currently we are reviewing working patterns and there is a possibility that moving forward we may implement an annualised hour’s work pattern where you work longer in the summer period than the winter period, to an accumulative average of 35 hours per week. A review will take place in February 2021 with any move to annualised hours working patterns being implemented from February 2021 onwards.

Centigen is a unique and environmentally aware facilities management company providing grounds Maintenance, cleaning and property maintenance services to various Private and Public Sector clients throughout the South West.
We currently have multiple contract vacancies within our Grounds Staff teams who provide high quality maintenance and landscaping services to our clients based throughout the Bristol and Gloucestershire area.

We currently have multiple contract vacancies within our Grounds Staff teams who provide high quality maintenance and landscaping services to our clients based throughout the Bristol and Gloucestershire area.
Various duties will include grass cutting, edging, weeding, digging, general clearance and hedge cutting. You will also be required to carry out regular programmes of general equipment checks, reporting any specific problems as soon as they arise.
In addition you will be assisting with the cleanliness of external communal areas, litter collection and bin stores.
Previous experience is essential but equally important is a ‘can do’ attitude, reliability, communication and a sense of pride in the work you do. You will also be required to have a driving licence.
Grounds Maintenance Operative (Fixed term contract March-October)
Salary: £8.00 per Hour + benefits including cash back healthcare scheme
Location: We have vacancies available in both Bristol and Gloucestershire
Hours: 39 Hours per Week (Monday-Friday 7:45am-4:30pm)
