A exciting opportunity has arisen with a busy Architectural practice who due to workload and increased capacity are looking to add a Senior Technician/ Technologist to join their dynamic team working on large scale multi unit Residential projects. The role with be working remotely and you can therefore be based anywhere in the UK.
Playing a heavily involved technical role you will be an integral part of the team working on simultaneous projects at any one time on leading Residential developments. You will be a senior in the large sized team and although the team work in Revit you do not need to be expert level but a good proficiency is required. Must have UK building regs experience.
Key tasks include:
Building regulation submissions
Development of construction drawing packs
Liaising with clients and contractors
Production of tender drawings
Able to work independently and to deadline
Alongside the Associates and Seniors supporting more juniors within the team

The client are a volume house builder with a great reputation for delivering good quality houses across the Thames Valley region.
They are currently recruiting for a Junior Architectural Technologist to join their existing in-house Technical and Architecture team. The candidate will be responsible for the documentation and filing of CAD drawings and assistant the Architects and Technical Managers when needed. Candidates must have experience working with CAD drawings, must have had some experience working within the Technical team of a house builder and must be based within an hour of Oxford. Due to the level of experience required the client have stated they would be looking to pay up to £27.5k + package.
Responsibilities
* Assist in producing detailed working drawings, plans, elevations, and sections in line with the original Architectural planning drawings.
* Assist in producing detailed foundation and ground floor, first floor joist and roof layouts, M and E layouts and external joinery and door schedules.
* Help value Engineer the planning drawings, improve internal layout, and agree as necessary.
* Liaise with Structural Engineer regarding structural elements, foundation design
* Review and amend site works drawing together with checking orientation of the houses. Also check Engineer's layouts and confirm the drainage points are in the correct location.
* Discuss with SAP Assessor and ensure that house types comply with Part L and ensure information is consistent and received on time. Ensure air permeability tests are sent to NHBC and that resulting EPC's distributed to relevant persons.
* Liaise with NHBC Building Control and resolve any outstanding NHBC Surveying Conditions throughout the duration of the project. Discuss with relevant parties to ensure conditions are discharged.
* Ensure all updated drawings are filed in correct folder within our cloud file structure.
* Update Drawing Issue sheets when required.
* Assist with the coordination of section 38, 278 and 104 agreements.
