Senior Electrical Design Engineer Building Services

Senior Electrical Design Engineer / Building Services / MEP / Consultancy
This role is to join the MEP Team of an award winning international integrated design consultancy. This role will cover a wide variety of challenging and interesting projects from laboratories, transport hubs, heritage and high spec projects.
My client delivers cutting edge design solutions allowing engineers the freedom to push the boundaries of sustainable building technology across HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing disciplines.
The MEP team work in close collaboration with practice-wide specialist groups such as sustainability & physics, facades, lighting, and technology.
Responsibilities
* Undertake detailed electrical engineering building services design and calculations, using Revit and Amtech software to support your knowledge of building design and performance
* Produce and review reports, presentations, models, and drawings to an excellent standard, high level of accuracy and in a timely manner.
* Dealing with multiple stakeholders on highly complex projects
* Ensure projects are carried out to an excellent standard, within agreed deadlines and budget.
* Working closely with other members of the project team.
* Responsible for a range of projects, including multi use projects, government, and heritage buildings.
* Communicating directly with Clients, offering innovative design solutions and managing expectations.
* Working with senior staff to prepare technical and financial proposals for new work.
* Managing workload of graduate engineers and technicians
* Preparing Technical Specifications.
Experience Required
* Solid experience of electrical design engineering in a consultancy environment.
* Ability to accept high levels of responsibility in a team-based organisation, combined with ability to work independently.
* An appreciation of a designs embodied carbon
* Embrace technologies to improve performance and sustainability to meet to net zero targets.
* Digital skills such as coding would be beneficial.
* Experience of supporting more junior engineers and working collaboratively in teams
* Specialism in a particular area of electrical engineering welcomed
* Awareness of Amtech, Dialux, and AutoCAD preferred, Revit highly desirable.
* Bachelors degree (BEng) / BSc or Masters degree (MEng) / MSc or equivalent and possibly working towards professional registration.

If you have experience designing mechanical services such as HVAC, Boilers, AHU's and water supply for Residential buildings including heat networks., this opportunity is not to be missed!
To be successful in this role you will:
·Be degree educated in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
·Have 3-4 years of post graduate experience in Building Services design
·Have recent experience working on Residential developments - designing electrical services
·Be proficient in Dialux, Amtech and AutoCAD - Revit is an advantage
·Be eligible to work in the UK without visa sponsorship
