My client is a regional housebuilder with sites nationwide. Specialising in 2 bed starter homes to 4 bed houses; our client currently has a requirement in their South Yorkshire office for an experienced Quantity Surveyor.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will report to the Head of Commercial who will outline each site to you. You will be responsible for:
Budget Forecasting
Pre & post tender
Monthly valuations
Undertake Material & Plant reconciliations weekly.
Administration of Drawing Revisions & Site Records.
Adhere to Management Plan.
Support the production of monthly CVR.
Understanding of cash management.
Form Relationships with Subcontractors.
Understand other site job functions.
Communication with Site Team.
Promote Company Image.
Ensure that the supply chain is paid in accordance with the contract.
Form relationship with the supply chainThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record of working on multiple projects in the housebuilding sector.
You must have a full driving licence, as travel will be required to sites occasionally.
The salary on offer is £45,000 - £50,000.

The role:
As an experienced Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in a construction project from various stages, working with architects, engineers,

This leading modular construction specialist, operates nationwide across the commercial, military, marketing, leisure, health, education and sports & leisure sectors.
Due to a very healthy order book towards the last quarter of the year, they are looking to recruit a Contracts Surveyor ((Hybrid Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor Role).
The position would involve spending 3 days a week from their office (could be flexibility in that given how the world has changed) and travel to sites nationwide. Typically looking after 4/5 projects at a time, varying from £200k - £3m.
The position is effectively a Contracts Manager with strong Quantity Surveying ability, a hybrid role, with a 50/50 role split.
The Contracts Surveyor (Hybrid Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor Role) would involve:
·Take over from salesman and run whole project from start to finish
·Procure all sub-contractors; the company acts like a specialist Project Management Company - install and supply, turnkey, groundworks to handover
·Client liaison, CVR's, site meetings, management of programme etc.
·Contractual experience; meet any issues head on
·Mostly deal with end user
With a solid turnover of £10-15m, this family run company has an excellent reputation and is offering an exciting and rewarding role.
