This is initially to replace a current contracts manager who is leaving the business in a few of months time. He has taken the decision to relocate overseas with his family and has provided this business with a lengthy notice for them to find a suitable replacement and conduct a thorough handover.
This candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of circa 2-4 projects at various stages of their lifecycle and will be responsible from leading them from the start through contract negotiation/ tender through pre-construction to delivery, pc and handover.

Role: Contracts Manager

This candidate will be responsible for a portfolio of circa 2-4 projects at various stages of their lifecycle and will be responsible from leading them from the start through contract negotiation/ tender through pre-construction to delivery, pc and handover.

Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 10 years of project management related experience
Experience of working within a hotel or hospital construction environment
Qualified as an Architect, interior designer or engineer.
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget and timeline

The team work mainly work on leisure and commercial projects, doing the construction drawings. This is a very exciting time for the practice that has 20 years’ experience in the industry. Their work on both new build and refurbishment projects is for well-known brands and clients.
As an experienced Architectural Technician, your role will be to take a brief, working it up as a feasibility, comprising of both internal and site layouts. Then produce a drawing package to take the project from concept, through planning, building regulations, construction drawings to completion, working alongside interior designers, structural engineers and project managers.
Essential skills
* Good working Knowledge of Building Regulations required, in particular Parts B, L and M for the commercial sector.
* You will need to be proficient in AutoCAD
* Able to carry out Site Inspections and contract meetings.
* Not essential but an advantage if you are able to carry out simple measured building surveys.
* Leisure and commercial experience beneficial
