They are currently looking for an experienced, dedicated and knowledgeable Legionella Risk Assessor based in or around the Cambridge area. They are looking for qualified candidates with extensive experience under-taking legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines on a varied site base. Consideration will be given to candidates from Bedford, Bury St. Edmunds, Peterborough, Bishop's Stortford, and the surrounding areas. Experience & Qualifications: Applicants must have attended City and Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment course or equivalent WMS qualification. Possess a proven track record of working as a legionella risk assessor with the water hygiene/water treatment industry. Will have hands on experience delivering water hygiene duties to a varied site base. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. A Local Authority based in Cambridgeshire is looking for a Mechanical Services Surveyor to join their team. This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency role and the successful candidate must have a full relevant surveying qualification, extensive experience dealing with all manner of mechanical services including installation condition assessments and design/tender works and ideally a strong background in Local Authority projects. The main purpose of the role is to oversee annual mechanical service improvement programmes well as developing and maintaining the mechanical asset register and asset numbering systems. The successful candidate will have substantial experience of all aspects of Mechanical services derived within the construction industry with a proven track-record of undertaking detailed mechanical installations condition survey assessments on a system by system basis (including equipment, systems and plant identifying defects, repairs and lifecycle) and experience of providing designs and specification for contractor design tender documents. The main responsibilities associated with the role are as follows; General responsibility for the administration, supervision and inspection of new and existing mechanical services installation and upgrading work within City Council property, either as part of the improvement programmes or as individual projects, in accordance with the current regulations. Manage customer (being tenants and leaseholders) and delivery partners (being external contractor or in-house operations) at operational level including Overseeing customer liaison during any new installation and upgrading work ensuring that both the customer and delivery partner are fully aware of the implications of the work and their respective obligations Carrying out day to day management of delivery partners carrying out programmes of work, inspect work to ensure compliance with specifications, identify defects and put in place corrective actions. Preparation of annual mechanical services improvement programmes and formulating budget estimates and draft specifications for proposed works. Day to day responsibility for the preparation, organisation, administration, recording and operation of the mechanical services inspection programmes within City Council property, in accordance with current regulations. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes; Academic qualification in mechanical engineering/ building services or related discipline at least up to HND level or equivalent (post holder should ideally already possess or be working towards a professional qualification in engineering or facilities management). IOSH Managing Safety Certificate holder (strongly desirable). GCSE Maths and English (minimum grade C) or equivalent. Full driving licence. The client is looking to move quickly with appointing to this position and as such, are offering £23 p/hr Umbrella ltd (approx. £580 NET p/week after deductions) for the duration of the role.
